The Pierce Lab

Outreach

Science teachers at Pasadena-area high schools are encouraged to arrange a visit to the Pierce Lab at Caltech. The foremost goal of these trips is to excite high school students about the process of scientific discovery. Visiting students will see a short talk on some engaging research topic, perform an experiment, talk to graduate students about life in a research lab, enjoy a barbecue lunch, and take a tour of the Caltech campus led by undergraduate tour guides.

This program is funded by the National Science Foundation via the Molecular Programming Project. Allowances are provided for busing and incidental teacher expenses.
